APOCALYPSE, WOW
Stockpiling smiles
Shakings of hands
A brush-up of networks
A trading of lands
Ain’t it simple
When the world is ending?
Holding my nose
I get out of bed
Put on some clothes and
Gently rub my head
It ain’t simple
When the world is ending
My wife is gone
My friend is dead
My name is Jim
My blood is red
And the world is ending
The world is ending
Don’t let me go
But I must go
There is a glow on the horizon
Not heaven, but another place
Others have passed before
You will pass through and then–
There is no City of Perfection
Only earth under your fingertips
And the Earth shall endure
Another apocalypse
The world’s unending…

June 2nd in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion a free lunchtime show in silver beany Millennium Park. Pack a brown bag that day and walk gingerly to fields of green to hear songs referencing ghastly souls, traitors and Europe’s finest secret police. Bring a blanket, bring a bottle of wine and ample curiosity for dark shadowy figures drawn in florescent yarns.

Travelers of Tyme engineer music precisely for holidays such as St. Valentine’s Day, a complex and contradictory day. For some, it is a day of romance, of flowers, sweet kisses, and nostalgic, warm conversation. For others, it is a day of heartache, of loneliness, and perhaps dark fantasies involving the Hallmark company and the calling of robotic minions to do biddings against the makers of cards.
